And it's a good saying to start your year 2012.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Drinking Coffee

Monday, January 9, 2012

We most intake a caffeine in the form of coffee. I’ve been noticing that I drink for about 2-3 or more glasses a day of coffee. I just a little worried cause some says that too much caffeine is not good in our health. But as a programmer or say it a ‘trying hard programmer’, I need a cup of coffee to make me alive in the middle of the night.

So I made a research.

According to the American Dietetic Association’s Complete Food and Nutrition Guide, “For most healthy adults, moderate amounts of caffeine 200 to 300 milligrams a day, or about two cups of coffee poses no physical problem.”.

That proves my above statement.

But I write, too much is too much. So when you sip 3 cups of coffee a day, it will be harmful on your health. ‘Cause everything too much is not good.

And here is the list of advantages why most of us sip a cup coffee:

  • Keep You Awake and Alert
Most main reason why most of us drinks a cup of coffee a day. Coffee can boost concentration and therefore makes you more alert and awake.
  • Cut the Risk of Heart Disease by 25% for Women
  • Cut the Risk of Diabetes by 60%
  • Cut the Risk of Dementia by 65%
  • Cut the Risk of Colon Cancer by 50%
  • Lowered Risk of Advanced Prostate Cancer
  • Lowered Risk of Alzheimer Disease by 65%
  • Cut the Risk of Cirrhosis by 80%
  • Cut the Risk of Gallstones by Almost 50%
  • Cut the Risk of Stroke by 43% for Women
  • Cut the Risk of Parkinson Disease by 80%
  • Lowered the Risk of Committing Suicide by 60% for Women
  • High Level of Antioxidants
  • Caffeine acts as decongestant as it opens narrowed bronchial tubes.
And here is the list of disadvantages:
  • Too much coffee can be addictive, stimulate, and a mood charger
  • Excess in take of coffee can cause anxiety, nervousness and depression
  • Stomach upset
Coffee can cause ulcer. Coffee without solid food can damage the stomach.
  • Insomnia
  • Restlessness
  • Irritability
  • Fast heartbeat
  • Muscle tremors

To conclude, coffee is not bad in our health but taking too much of it will.

So, cheers! I will prepare my cup of coffee later. And again, monitor your daily consumption.

Subscribed on Other's Facebook Updates Without Me Knowing

Sunday, January 8, 2012

I recently found out that I am subscribed to others updates.

But to tell you the truth, I don't even know that I click subscribe on their facebook profile.. I don't really know what happens there.

But thinking overnight, maybe it happens when you are trying to add someone on facebook, instead of clicking Add Friend, you click Subscribe without you realizing. It happens on me already, that's why I'm considering. And also, I'm referring to Add Friend on facebook on their profile on when Timeline is not yet used by that facebook user.

Because Subscribe button is just right next to Add Friend.  So maybe it always happens.

And you will see on your dashboard Home on facebook this if you are subscribed on that person.

If you see a triangle on upper right corner of your friend's profile picture, it indicates that you are subscribe on their  updates.
And one thing more, I am confused on facebook subscribe matters, because when I saw my facebook Subscriptions, I just subscribe to 3 people, but when I go to my home dashboard on facebook, I saw many subscriptions, like the above picture.

What's wrong facebook?

I just want to clear it all here. Because I don't want other people think I subscribe to their updates.

Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)

Monday, December 19, 2011

Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) provides developers with a unified programming model for building rich Windows smart client user experiences that incorporate UI, media, and documents.
Source: MSDN.Microsoft

What's good about WPF?
Programming in WPF makes it easier for me to build greater UI especially with the use of another developer tool which is Microsoft Expression Blend
There is a behind the code - .cs where you can code the functionality of your program/project and there is .xaml where you can code your UI.

What is XAML?

XAML is a declarative markup language. As applied to the .NET Framework programming model, XAML simplifies creating a UI for a .NET Framework application. You can create visible UI elements in the declarative XAML markup, and then separate the UI definition from the run-time logic by using code-behind files, joined to the markup through partial class definitions. XAML directly represents the instantiation of objects in a specific set of backing types defined in assemblies. This is unlike most other markup languages, which are typically an interpreted language without such a direct tie to a backing type system. XAML enables a workflow where separate parties can work on the UI and the logic of an application, using potentially different tools.

When represented as text, XAML files are XML files that generally have the .xaml extension. The files can be encoded by any XML encoding, but encoding as UTF-8 is typical.

What's a Blog?

Sunday, December 18, 2011

A blog is a personal diary. A daily pulpit. A collaborative space. A political soapbox. A breaking-news outlet. A collection of links. Your own private thoughts. Memos to the world.
Your blog is whatever you want it to be. There are millions of them, in all shapes and sizes, and there are no real rules.
In simple terms, a blog is a web site, where you write stuff on an ongoing basis. New stuff shows up at the top, so your visitors can read what's new. Then they comment on it or link to it or email you. Or not.
Since Blogger was launched in 1999, blogs have reshaped the web, impacted politics, shaken up journalism, and enabled millions of people to have a voice and connect with others.
And we're pretty sure the whole deal is just getting started.
